Competa Square



This is perhaps a scene many of you will recognise - a spring or summer's day in the main square at Competa in the heart of Axarquia! The square contains 2 or 3 bars and restaurants (including a great Tapas bar!), a bank, a sweet kiosk and of course the glorious church which you can see in the background. By climbing to the top of the church, one can see across miles and miles of the beautiful Axarquia countryside whilst those in the street below enjoy the wonderful food and wine which Axarquia village restaurants and bars have to offer!
